After a month they lose power and slowly, over a year or so, but surely, they fade to the service shop where you can expect to pay $50-$75 dollars each to a person who is allowed to own the tamper proof plug and carburetor setting tools needed to keep these running. Read the online complaints. Many say its due to alcohol in gas, or lower quality for department store pricing. Bottom line, when you need it most it will be in the shop.

I have the same PB 250 that I bought almost two years ago and it worked great for 6 months and then it lost much of its power. It seems to start and idle okay but when power is requested it either dies or runs at half power. Many people have had this problem with this unit and I would not buy this again without some written warranty addressing this issue. Do some research, the problem is real. So, after the blower has run for a year and it needs to be adjustment Good Luck,, there is no way to do it. All I do is play with it for hours to keep it running and the power is half at best and dies all the time. I spend more time pulling the chord then actually using it as a blower. I looked at their web site and they are still selling this blower. They have a lot of nerve since they must know of this problem many are having and they still are selling it. It is a shame since it looks brand new and only really worked a dozen times.

This is a quality machine - and is the same as the Tanaka, a brand used by many pro gardeners and landscape maintenance persons. I've had McCulloch, Ryobi and a Sears Craftsman (that I returned after the first use). This machine is lighter, runs much quieter, and has quite a bit more power than any of the others. It isn't really in the same league. This one runs flawlessly, has a ton of power, and a quality feel.

Seems to be a great blower/vacuum for the price. Very powerful for its size and lightweight. The adjustable blower speed is nice. Hopefully it will withstand the test of time. Only complaint is the lack of complete instructions (it seems to have extra electrical brushes (?) in the package but no instructions on how to install them, if that's what they are.) Had a strong petroleum smell until it aired out; now it is fine. Would recommend it.

The WORX WG508 is 3 tools in 1: A blower with a blowing speed of 240 MPH; a vacuum with a unique chisel nose tube for accessing hard-to-reach areas; and a mulcher with a 16 to 1 leaf mulch ratio. The included mulching bag has the capacity to hold 1.5 bushels. Easily attach the tube and bag to be on your way with single-handed operation for blowing or vacuuming. Switch from vacuum to blower and experience the high velocity cyclonic blower tube which is designed for better air flow. The vacuum tube produces a more even velocity, plus a shorter air flow track which equals less loss of air flow when compared to a round tube. This WG508 features an all metal impeller for finer leaf mulching. The dual speed adjustments allows for more control when needed. This 12.0 Amp blower vac is also compatible with the Trivac leaf collection system hose attachment (WG4053.1).

first off - I've returned mine... because contrary to the amazon description it does *not* fit *all* Toro blower/vacs.
According to the box it comes in it will fit the following models: 51574, 51592, 51599, 51602, 51609, 51617, 51618, 51619, 51621

unfortunately I have a 51591 and it does *not* fit that model, and (short of 3D modelling my own custom adapter/coupling) cannot be made to fit that model - it just isn't close enough that "surgery" would work.

so why a 5-star rating?... well I didn't want to knock a product that I couldn't actually evaluate in use, but I could examine ... it looks to be well assembled: the coil hose is about 3.5 inches in diameter and eyeballs out to about 8 ft. I'm certain that my old blower/vac could push shredded leaves through that length. The canvas cover looks to be the same stuff the regular blower bags are made from and the couplings look to be the same thick and fairly hardy plastic used elsewhere on the toro blower/vacs. I would expect several years of reliable use given my experience with our toro blower/vac.
